Improvements to OnFinality’s Node Deployment Process

Improved UI for Node Deployment

OnFinality is pleased to announce our latest version which brings some significant improvements to how our customers can deploy and manage their nodes.

With the runaway success of parachains in Kusama and soon Polkadot, OnFinality has been proud to support each new parachain from launch via our Enhanced API service and one-click dedicated node deployment tools. We’ve seen a huge increase in the usage by customers from around the world that want access to secure, reliable, and performant collator nodes across all of our networks.

Archive Node Deployment

We are proud to introduce our new archive node support. Getting reliable access to the full historic state of the chain is useful for customers that want to build more advanced tools using the full historic chain state. Our one-click archive node deployment gives our customers access to this quickly and easily.

Dedicated Node Deployment

The other significant feature of the latest update was improvements to the Dedicated Note Deployment flow. Specifically, we developed a new UI that helps guide customers on how to deploy nodes step-by-step.

When customers deploy a new node, they are now shown the launch arguments and parameters so they can be confident that the node is configured exactly to their needs. Previously, customers could not know what the exact parameters of the node was before it started, which wasted a lot of time determining what parameters should be set. Now, customers can have a clear understanding of the node settings and parameters when deploying a node and by using the default settings can deploy with minimal effort.

OnFinality is driven to be customer centric and we believe these changes and various other upgrades that were made to improve the stability, performance and scalability of the platform, will provide great benefit to our customers.

Additional Network Support

OnFinality has had a goal for the past two rounds of the Kusama parachain auctions to provide full support, from the first block, for each and every parachain. We are proud to announce that we have exceeded this goal, working closely with many teams to help them create bootnodes, start collation, and provide scalable RPC endpoints from even before the first block. The list of fully supported networks in OnFinality has now grown to 21:

  • Polkadot
  • Kusama
  • Westend
  • Rococo
  • Statemine
  • Karura
  • Moonriver
