OnFinality’s mission is to provide easy-to-use, reliable and scalable infrastructure for Web3 developers to build the decentralised future faster. Today, we are proud to deliver on our promise to provide better features, faster performance, higher reliability, and unmatched scalability at a more accessible price point so that more developers can start building from the get go.
Over the past few months, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to drive down our costs while increasing performance. This has resulted in some advanced caching strategies, advanced request method routing, and support for more cloud providers. We’re careful to only bring in these new features if we can maintain or improve our world class performance and reliability.
We’re passing these cost savings on directly to our customers, most will experience up to 40% decreases in their OnFinality bill. For example, the price of a Polkadot validator has decreased to $397 per month (down from over $565 per month). Specifically, the hourly price of a compute unit in OnFinality is being reduced from US$0.15 to $0.095 and storage from $0.0005 to $0.0004.
When you compare the time saved using automated tooling like OnFinality compared to the cost of hiring in DevOps or spending time upskilling yourself, OnFinality provides an extreme benefit for all customers. Our goal is to help developers save time and money so they can focus on building their products faster. Automating all the incredibly complicated tools required to bootstrap and run nodes is one effective way at removing a significant barrier to entry into web3.
OnFinality is already supporting the largest projects on Polkadot, including Acala, Astar, Moonbeam and are constantly working to enhance and expand our service offerings with new features and more supported networks.
