Problem facing node runners

Setting up node infrastructure from scratch is difficult, time-consuming and expensive, impeding the interest and progress of builders who want to get started and scale quickly.

It requires a level of server development expertise that many do not have.

It is extremely costly to run a full node nearly continuously, especially for dApps that are new and traffic is low and inconsistent.

Introducing OnFinality’s on-demand node solution

Our one-click solution was designed to meet the custom infrastructure needs of anyone building in blockchain. Automatically test, deploy, scale and monitor your own blockchain nodes without having to set up any infrastructure of your own!

Why OnFinality?

Easy

We have simplified what was usually a multi hour setup process requiring a high level of technical expertise into a simple and automated process, making it easy and accessible to all.

“OnFinality makes running a Polkadex validator node so easy that users don’t need to worry about buying the necessary hardware, setting it up, or making tools to monitor it. Validators play an important role in our ecosystem by forming new blocks, validating transactions, and maintaining network efficiency. OnFinality lets future Polkadex validators focus on building out a community of nominators and maximising their validator’s profit in PDEX rewards”

— Deepansh S, Co-Founder of Polkadex

Unlocking a world of possibilities

It is completely free and takes less than a minute to set up your OnFinality account!

Sign up here: app.onfinality.io

Navigate to ‘Workspace Settings’, select ‘Plan & Payment’ and add a credit card so that you can proceed without disruption when setting up your dedicated nodes.

Now select ‘Dedicated Nodes’ on the left hand menu, and click on ‘Deploy New Node’ to get started!

View our video walkthrough here or follow the steps below:

Step 1: Select A Network

Search for the network you would like to create a new node in.

Step 2: Configure your Node

Enter a memorable display name and select the node type, image version, cloud provider, and deployment location.

We strongly suggest following the Network’s recommended settings here if your node is going to be used for any production workloads — changing this setting could result in adverse behaviour across your network.

To change the configuration select “Custom” and select the required Node Size and Storage Size.

Note: You should consult the network’s own documentation for minimum sizes and best practices.

Step 3: Launch Configuration

The default arguments are enough for standard use, refer to the Network’s documentation for details about each argument.

Learn more about configuring launch arguments here.

Step 4: Review and Deploy!

If you’ve already set up your payment method at the start, you can proceed to deploy your node.

Congratulations, you are now ready to build your dApp!

Once your node is successfully deployed, you will find this in the “Dedicated Nodes” section on our app.
