What is Jump Crypto?

What is The Pit?
The Pit is Jump Crypto’s community sandbox that aims to empower developers and founders to learn, ship code, and grow their networks.
After hosting its inaugural cross-chain hackathon, a collaborative hackathon with Polygon, and a hacker house at ETHDenver, the Pit is teaming up with Google Cloud to bring together developers, creatives, and innovators at the intersection of Web3 and gaming in Singapore for a week-long game-jam.
What is Web3 Gaming Week?
Hosted at Google’s Singapore headquarters from June 12th — 17th, Web3 Gaming Week is an in-person event initiated by Jump Crypto’s community sandbox, The Pit, supported by Google Cloud.
The 6-day game-jam brings together builders, innovators, and visionaries to push the boundaries of web3 gaming in a series of talks, panels, workshops, and competitions with $50K in prizes to be won!
Panel Discussion: Tooling for On-Chain Games
Moderated by our COO, James Bayly, the panel was joined by industry experts, Zhimin You from Ancient8 (web3 gaming infrastructure), Zhen Yu Yong, Co-Founder of Web3Auth (a web3 wallet infrastructure), and Brendan Duhamel, Founder of Myria (a web3 gaming platform).
The panel kicked off with a thought provoking discussion on whether Tech builds the community first, or if the community is the one driving the Tech.
Panellists shared their solutions specific to gaming as well as the broader blockchain space.
On the topic of mainstream on-chain gaming adoption, the panel emphasised on the importance of robust and user-friendly blockchain development platforms, as well as efficient and scalable blockchain solutions for handling high transaction volumes without compromising performance and user experience to on-chain gaming.
The panel acknowledged that one of the reasons hindering mainstream on-chain gaming adoption, is the lack of essential tools for attracting game developers and providing a seamless gaming experience for users on the blockchain.
